Submarine building in Alkmaar

On January, 6th 2012  Hubert van Onna and your webmaster paid a visit to Emile van Essen from Alkmaar in his workshop.

Actually Emile is building his third large vessel, the Nordic Sub.

The previous one (Javasub) will be used by the Indonesian authorities 

whereas the first one (the Kreidesee) is being exploited in Germany.

Respect for this young active submarine builder. A worthy successor for Cornelis Drebbel.
